Dovizioso: More difficult at Brno but we'll be competitive

It proved to be the perfect weekend. An historic double win for Ducati at the Red Bull Ring and now it's already time to return to the track. The red bikes will be looking for confirmation at Brno, strengthened by the result scored in Austria. Second place left something of a bitter taste for Andrea Dovizioso though, as he watched his team-mate celebrate on the top step of the rostrum.

But the team's definitely taken a step forward: “After the 1-2 finish in Austria, Ducati can now feel confident ahead of the next races – commented the Forlì rider - We must continue to work to improve the details, because our rivals are very strong and the Yamahas were able to finish the race very close behind us at the Red Bull Ring”.

The risk is that things might be different in the Czech Republic, but the Borgo Panigale rider is confident: “It will be a little more difficult at Brno - he commented -  but the bike has improved a great deal in recent races and so I'm confident that we'll be competitive again".

On the other side of the garage is Andrea Iannone, who cannot wait to get back on track. His victory at the Red Bull Ring serves as an adrenalin and confidence boost ahead of the second part of the season: “I'm struggling to explain my emotions after the win in Austria - explained The Maniac - I can only say that it was a really incredible weekend”.

The Ducati rider is certain: “I believe this track can be quite good for us – he continued - last year I finished the race fourth despite a technical problem, but now we have the pace to fight for the podium in every race. The competition is never to be underestimated however: “Our rivals are definitely strong at this track – he concluded - I think we have a good chance of obtaining another great result.”
