SBK: SSP: Kenan Sofuoglu will try to race at Losail

Kenan Sofuoglu is not about to give up and has announced on his Facebook page that he will try to race in Qatar. On Saturday, at 5.30pm, the final Supersport race of the season will take place, followed by the Superbike race.

The Turkish rider, despite having fractured his hip one month ago in qualifying at Magny-Cours, has decided to grit his teeth and depart for Losail. And to think that his season appeared to be over after his injury in France.

The Kawasaki rider will need the OK from circuit doctors on Thursday morning, after which he will be able to get back on his bike. In the championship standings, leader Mahias is 20 points ahead, with a total of 165 points.
