MotoGP, Pernat: "Marquez overdoes it as a result of ugly catcalling"

What a Sunday at Mugello for Jorge Lorenzo! The Spaniard finally scored a long-awaited win on board the red bike, crossing the line ahead of Andrea Dovizioso and Valentino Rossi. On the day in which the Majorcan celebrated on the highest step of the podium, disappointment for Honda provided the contract, the manufacturer faced with a double zero for Marquez and Pedrosa.

Here's what went on at the Italian grand Prix according to our very own Carlo Pernat.  

“Let's start with the farewell victory, the best and worst thing there is. I heard talk of the tank and other things, but I believe it came down to Lorenzo's head. The tank was his head and his head the tank. He came to Mugello already sure about signing for Yamaha, as a result his mind was totally free this weekend. In the race, he proved to be the real Jorge, also because I don't believe the tank could really change that much. He was free and clean and won, aware that he'll be leaving Ducati, perhaps he'll score more results like this later in the season. Then there was the Marquez disaster, right from Friday he wasn't himself, and the ugly, uncharitable catcalling got to him too. In the end he's only human and it's impossible to shake it all off, the booing led him to overdo it and crash out. I also have an issue with Race Direction, because when Marc hit Petrucci he conditioned his race, as Danilo could have battled but for the podium but was instead forced to play catch up, wearing the tyres. I think Marc deserved at least an under investigation. Aside from that, returning home with two zeros is a hard blow for Honda, Puig has a lot of work to do in terms of choosing the second rider. They're trying to get Rea and have lost Mir, given that the youngsters don't want to go to Honda. As for Suzuki, a wonderful result, but to see Iannone take possession of the bike and then send him away is the wrong decision I think. Bringing in Mir and having Rins could nevertheless represent the future. To conclude, let's not forget Valentino, a living legend. With only three second places, he's second in the championship. He'll fight for the title but it would be hard for him to win it, given that the Yamaha is not sorted. I'm shocked by Vinales, in the second part of the race he's always fast but perhaps he's not strong of mind, as playing second fiddle to Valentino is like playing at his house, the proof was Lorenzo's departure from Yamaha two years ago”.
