Between winter tests and market news, the British Superbike is absolutely tireless. The latest news is that Lachlan Epis will participate next season in the overseas championship on the NP Motorcycles Lextek BMW Team. Another piece of the puzzle that fits into place, with a 2021 grid that promises to be numerous, in an authentic BSB style.
From his past in the CEV, European SuperStock 600, World SuperSport 600, and Australian Superbike, Lachlan Epis has been a regular presence in important European competitions for some time now. He already had the opportunity last year to become familiar with the S1000RR on the team led by Neil Pearson in the final race, which was staged at Brands Hatch, replacing Bjorn Estment. Despite the numerous technical problems encountered, with only Race 1 completed, both sides opted to continue their commitment in view of 2021. For the Blacktown (Australia) native, it’ll be a full-time debut in the UK top class.
“I’m thrilled to be part of the NP Motorcycles Team for the 2021 season,” Lachlan Epis stated. “I’m familiar with the environment after my experience at Brands Hatch. I’ll now continue my preparation in Australia and then fly to England in March. My goal will be to feel comfortable on the bike and reach the middle of the standings, and then continue the subsequent climb to the top positions.”
