Alex Rins is back in Spain after his surgery in Italy, during which the doctors immobilized the fracture with an external fixator. The LCR team rider is now preparing for a second leg operation, and he wanted to give everyone an update on his condition from the hospital with the video below.

“I’m already a bit better after the fall in the sprint race on Saturday. I fell at the Arrabbiata 1, a very fast turn, and started rolling in the gravel. I broke my tibia, fibula, and ankle. Now I’m in Madrid, hoping that the swelling in my leg will subside a bit because they won’t be able to operate otherwise. I’m motivated. Thanks for the messages you’ve sent. I really appreciate them, and I’ll try to get back on the track as soon as possible,” Alex commented.
