SBK: It’s official: no Argentina for World Superbike!

The rumor had started circulating in Imola. Now it’s official. Argentina has, in fact, been canceled from the 2023 Superbike calendar. A press release issued this morning by the Organizer announced that the San Juan round has been canceled. Now Dorna will have to find a solution for the last round on the calendar.

According to what we read, the decision was reached because of the intense electoral calendar the country is facing, which has led to a complex situation that affects the daily life of the population, the provinces, and businesses.

Considering the proximity of the next national and provincial elections, Dorna WSBK Organization (DWO), Grupo OSD, and the government of San Juan have chosen to suspend the event on the San Juan Villicum circuit, scheduled for mid-October.

Dorna will soon communicate the date and name of the replacement circuit, even if all clues seem to point to Jerez.
