SBK: SSP, Dalla Porta’s new adventure begins in Most with Evan Bros

With his troubled respite ending prematurely in the Moto2 World Championship, Lorenzo Dalla Porta is ready to relaunch himself in the Supersport World Championship, where he’ll be making his debut in Most wearing the Evan Bros. team colors.

In fact, the 26-year-old from Prato will be racing during the 8th round of the championship in the SBK paddock on the Czech track, which only became part of the Superbike calendar in 2021. This is great news for Dalla Porta, who’s ready to get on Andrea Mantovani’s Yamaha YZF-R6 and  start adapting to the bike, the team, and the Pirelli tires, which he first experienced last week on Monday’s track day in Imola.

I’m really looking forward to getting on the track, and doing it with this team is definitely great. Obviously, I hope to get some good results, but I don’t want to think about it or create expectations, since we have to work and improve session after session, first. We’re all really motivated, and this weekend will certainly be a great preparation for the upcoming rounds.”  the 2019 Moto3-class World Champion stated.

This is a new chapter for the Tuscan rider, but also for the team led by Fabio Evangelista, already intent on laying the right foundations starting from the last appointment before the summer break.

The Most round represents a new start for the team, which should be tackled accordingly with the right mindset. We want to put Lorenzo in the best conditions, working with concentration throughout the weekend, to quickly find a good foundation in terms of set-up,”  the Team Principal said. “We have to also create the right mood inside the garage, but this won’t be a problem, given the great desire that unites the rider and each member of the team. We look forward to this new adventure.”
