MotoGP, VIDEO - Rins unstoppable: “After surgery, I cried in pain”

I was a bit faster than before. I opened the throttle a little more aggressively, and I flew,” this how Alex Rins began to tell about his terrible fall at Mugello in the first episode of a documentary on the LCR team's YouTube channel. (See the video above)

An accident in which he fractured a tibia and suffered multiple fractures to a fibula. The Spanish rider underwent two surgeries: “It was hard. I spent many days in the hospital,” he said. “I never stop. In the morning, I’m in the gym, then I have treatments. This summer doesn’t exist for me.”

Alex remembers the most difficult moment: “It was three hours after surgery, when the effect of the anesthesia wore off. I cried all day because of the pain. I started seeing the light when I got home.

This injury was a real shame for him, since he won't even be able to race at Silverstone: “Adapting to the Honda was very fast. I felt good, and there were circuits coming up that I really like. I had ticked off Silverstone. Now I'm trying really hard to get back as soon as possible.” Alex is supported by his entire team and family, but also by his rivals, such as Jorge Martin who appears in the video during a visit.
