MotoGP: 'Dragon tooth' curbs appeared for F1 at Losail

Do you recognize the colors? Well yes, these are the curbs currently used by F1 at the Losail circuit. They are, apparently, the same ones initially used at Jerez and later replaced by the less aggressive so-called 'Misano' ones.

The goal for the curbs is to demarcate the track without resorting to sensors and all the penalties due to 'trespassing on the green'. The sisgences of cars and motorcycles, however, are different, because if this type of curbs discourages F1 drivers, on the contrary for motorcyclists they could be dangerous. Although we do not recall serious accidents in the 1970s and 1980s when 'dragon tooth' curbs were commonly used.

They will probably be replaced for the penultimate Grand Prix of the MotoGP season on November 19. But are FIM and FIA talking to each other?
