SBK: British Superbike: Josh Owens in critical condition

The British Superbike circus is worried about Josh Owens’ condition. Near the end of the final round of the 2023 season at Brands Hatch, the 23-year-old rider from Aintree had a terrible accident at Darley Moor.

Owens in critical condition

After getting back on his bike to test his situation following his injury in August at Cadwell Park, Josh Owens was involved in serious fall at the Darley Moor Race Circuit. He was quickly transported by helicopter to the Royal Stoke University Hospital. The medical bulletin states that he is in critical condition due to the multiple injuries he sustained.

Owens’ career

British 125cc champion in 2015 and GP2 (Moto2) in 2018, Josh Owens made his British Superbike debut in 2019. He defended the colors of the Rapid CDH Racing Kawasaki team during his first four years and joined the Hawk Racing Honda team this year. There is still no news as to whether Josh will again be replaced by Michael Dunlop at Brands Hatch, as he was in the previous rounds.
