MotoGP: Marquez, radio silence: “Among the worst sensations of the year”

Marc Marquez didn’t appear in front of reporters after the Mandalika GP, which ended with yet another fall for the season. After his separation from Honda, the Spanish rider – or someone in his stead – decided that it would be better he not answer questions himself. A sort of “radio silence”, which is rather unusual, especially for a champion of his caliber.

So, to know what his comment on the day was, we have to rely on a handful of statements filtered by the press office: “Evidently, it didn’t go as we hoped. I had some of the worst sensations of the year on the bike. It was over a weekend that had started well but got worse and worse. I decided to stay calm. Some riders overtook me, and I didn't intend to push, but then I fell. I didn’e expect it, because I was around tenth place just hoping that the laps would pass to finish the race. Now we need to move on.”
