Andrea Iannone and Alex Rins were teammates at Suzuki in the Spaniard's debut season in the top class, 2017, and then in the following one, before The Maniac moved to Aprilia. Today they were back on track together, both at Montmelò in Barcelona riding their respective training bikes. For Iannone it was the Ducati Panigale V4S already used in other track days. Rins instead rode a Honda CBR 1000 RR-R equipped among other things with a very particular aerodynamic configuration.
Rins hopes to get back on the MotoGP bike at Valencia, especially because after the last race of the season he will be able to test the Yamaha M1 which he will have at available in 2024 with Fabio Quartararo. For Iannone, however, it is a question of continuing to clock up kilometres in the saddle in view of his return to racing in SBK in 2024 with Go Eleven. The Jerez tests went well, and Andrea seems very excited for this new challenge.
