MotoGP, Martin’s revelation: “There were already two black suits ready in Valencia”

“The suits were made in case I had to get on another bike during the test. Bastianini? I understand the injuries but, out of 15 races, he won only one. Even I would have won with his tire pressure in Malaysia. The future? If Ducati doesn’t want me, I’ll look for something else. Honda would be a good option.”

MotoGP: Martin’s revelation: “There were already two black suits ready in Valencia”

On Friday, he’ll be a guest at the Ducati party at the Unipol Arena and, on Wednesday, he proved to be the most expected rider of all. In fact, Jorge Martin participated in the presentation for Martinator, the documentary on his career, produced by DAZN.

It obviously talks about his beginnings on two wheels, and ends with his 2023 season, in which the Pramac rider speaks without mincing words: “2023 has been a picture-perfect year,” he stated. “Unfortunately, we made mistakes that we shouldn’ t repeat. In the end, I’d give myself an eight and a half as a vote, with the aim of becoming world champion in 2024.”

There’s also a back story involved: “On Sunday, in Valencia, I had already prepared two black suits, in case I had to get on another bike in Tuesday’s tests. In the end, it didn’t go as I hoped, and the matter is now closed.”

His message to Enea Bastiani was clear: “Truthfully, I don’t understand what more I have to prove,” he added. “I understand that Enea had a complicated year, but he competed in fifteen races, winning only one because, his tire pressure was 1.2. I would’ve won too like that.”

Finally, the future and Marquez: “Marc might have an advantage at the beginning of the season, because he’ll have a Ducati already prepared. The future? My priority is Ducati. If they don’t want me, I’ll look for something else. Honda would be a good option.”
