Only Francesco Bagnaia did better than Jorge Martin in 2023, during which the Pramac team’s rider fought for the MotoGP title until the last race in Valencia. “He’s a very natural guy, a bit hyperactive. When I’d give him advice, for example, he’d listen for two or three seconds, then look at something else, or he'd tell me some other story. He wouldn’t listen,” the rider from Mallorca recalled. “He’s a good guy, natural, One who likes to have fun.”

Despite his temperament, Martin has reached a continuity of results in which he established himself as the fittest rider of the second half of the championship, And, over the course of the season, he managed to score a total of 4 victories in the Grand Prix and another 9 in the Sprint Races.

“I certainly didn’t discover him as a rider. He’s very explosive and, what impressed me the most, is his ability to do a perfect lap,” Lorenzo added. “It’s his greatest quality, and this shows that he has a natural talent.”
