MotoGP, Viñales: “With this bike, we’ll be fast everywhere”

The Aprilia rider scares his rivals: "Great progress with the bike. The technicians did a great job.” And he didn’t hide his goals: "Always give your best but, above, all win.” He has a wildcard to help him: “I’m calmer now.”

MotoGP: Viñales: “With this bike, we’ll be fast everywhere”

He ended the Sepang tests in 12th, but Maverick Viñales’ morale is high, in view of the last general test and, in particular, of the first round of the championship, both scheduled in Qatar. If he was able to conquer a 7th place in 2023, the Aprilia rider’s ambitions for 2024 are something else, since he wants to raise the bar and bother the Ducati.

“I prepared, as usual, to be in shape throughout the year,” he explained. “It’s a very important aspect, especially cardio because, between one transfer and the other, it’s difficult to train properly. Overall, I had a more relaxed winter than last year, and this will allow me to be stronger at the start of the season. My goal is to start immediately at full blast, but with more mental serenity.”

What comforts him are his sensations on the new RS-GP. “I noticed some great innovation,” he  commented. “The technicians did an incredible job creating a really nice bike.” But what will have to happen during the next ten months so that the 29-year-old will be truly satisfied?

I’ll be happy if the team and I are always able do our best, even if our goal is to win races and titles.” In light of what they assessed on the track so far, what could be the ideal GPs for the Noale team?

There will be lots of races. Personally, I can’t identify circuits where we could have a better position. I think we have everything to do well everywhere,” he said, resolutely.
