MotoGP, Morbidelli: "Too dangerous to hit the head again right now"

Franco was in Qatar yesterday in the Pramac garage: "I’m going to miss 5 days of very important tests, I’m excited to jump on the bike as soon as possible. I didn't remember a lot about the accident, I need to thank Alex and Marc Marquez for intervening"

MotoGP: Morbidelli:

Franco Morbidelli has been a spectator virtually throughout the MotoGP winter tests. While he had followed the Sepang test from home, yesterday he was in Qatar in the Pramac garage. Unfortunately, the crash at Portimao on the Panigale V4 did not allow him to get on the Ducati MotoGP bike. "The accident was pretty particular, it was in an out lap - Franky explained to motogp.com - I didn’t remember a lot, but for sure two of the main guys I need to thank to be here are Marc and Alex. They intervened while I was down on track and unconscious".

The result is that he will arrive at the first Qatar GP with just one day of testing on the GP24, the one after the Valencia race.

“The doctors said that it would be pretty dangerous to hit the head again right now so we need to wait some more time - continued Morbidelli – I’m going to miss 5 days of tests which are very important to build up with the new crew and the new bike. But anyway I have the chance to be here, to work with the team staying in the pit box with the team and talk with my crew."

And to closely observe his opponents out on the track.

“Looking at the Sepang tests, the new Ducati, and the Ducatis in general, work super well and I’m excited to jump on the bike as soon as possible” concluded Franco.
