Race 2 at Phillip Island was one Toprak Razgatlioglu wants to forget. During the second lap, while occupying a third position behind Bautista, the Turkish rider’s BMW M 1000 RRb suffered engine failure.
This was a hard blow for #54, who was forced to leave the scene after covering less than 10 km. His weekend ended there, and BMW had to deal with a second engine that failed after Gerloff’s during Tuesday’s tests.
Instead, it went worse for Johnny Rea, who was victim of a bad accident while he was fighting for the top five. The dynamics of the accident aren’t known. We only know that Johnny is conscious and was taken to the medical center.
