SBK, Bulega: “I didn't do anything special, maybe I could have been faster”

“Today I tried a different set-up, but it didn't convince me, in fact I had to backtrack. In testing you have more time, in the race it's always different."

SBK: Bulega: “I didn't do anything special, maybe I could have been faster”

Nicolò Bulega once again played the leading role on the second day of testing in Barcelona, the Aruba rider set the track record, breaking the one held by Alvaro Bautista.

The Superbike rookie can therefore be enthusiastic about the results obtained during this outing at Montmelò.

“I'm happy with this test,” he said, “we've found a good base ahead of the race weekend. It wasn't a given to be so fast, because the conditions were different to those of Australia, but we confirmed our form. In fact, we managed to be fast, but our opponents also did an excellent job."

This Bulega could be called a sort of record holder.

“We didn't do anything special in my opinion on the bike. We just tried a different set-up, but in the end we went back to yesterday's, because what I tried today didn't completely convince me. Unfortunately I had a small crash in Turn 1, but in the end I found the confidence again."

The first of the pursuers turned out to be Razgatlioglu.

“Toprak managed to get very close in the end, but I'm also happy with the pace I achieved and perhaps I could have done even more. The fact is that in testing you have more time to test to try to be fast while in the race weekend it's a different situation because you have less time and tyres available."
