MotoGP: Ducati caresses the asphalt: the shape shifter in action at the start

The shape shifter is a Ducati trademark, and Gigi Dall'Igna and his men have evolved this system season after season. Although it is not new, it makes quite an impression to see the results of its latest version mounted on Pecco Bagnaia's Desmosedici GP24. In this case, a picture is worth a thousand words, and the one above perfectly explains what 'lowering device' means.

At the start, the Ducati crouches to the ground both front and rear, so much so that the lower part of the fairing seems to touch the asphalt. Pecco's Demosedici lays down as if it were an animal ready to sprint, and there is very little space left between the ground and the fairing. In MotoGP getting off to a good start is now essential, and at Borgo Panigale they know it well.
