For sale the Honda NSX that was Ayrton Senna's: £500,000 for a dream

Ayrton Senna had a very long love affair with Honda in Formula 1, which began in the Lotus days and then continued in the McLaren period. It was a very long partnership that brought Ayrton into the hearts of the Japanese engineers, given his incredible sensitivity that was also put at Honda's service to develop the NSX, a car created with the purpose of fighting on the same ground as the prized European sportscars.

Part of the collaboration stipulated that NSXs were sent to Ayrton, who was called upon to test the car even in simple daily use, and today one of those cars is for sale. The car, built in 1991, is being offered for sale by AutoTrader, a British dealer, and the price is beyond any valuation logic for a similar NSX in terms of mileage and overall condition.

In fact, the NSX 'Senna' is offered at a price of 500,000 pounds, or just under 600,000 euros. The distinguished owner who had this car obviously puts it on a completely different level than any other NSX for sale; it has a collectors' value that is difficult to quantify, but it is clear that it represents a very valuable item. The car was purchased by the current owner, Robert McFagan, in Portugal, who also said something about the car's history.

"I first purchased the car in 2013 during a trip to the Algarve, Portugal, and have owned it ever since, where it sits proudly on my estate in East Sussex. Senna's red NSX had been given to him by Honda, with whom he had a business partnership, and Senna used it often and was photographed with the car during his stays in Portugal."
