MotoGP, TGPOne Jerez, Pernat: "Yamaha and Pramac, I believe it!"

VIDEO - According to Carletto, the teams market is as alive as the riders market, with Yamaha looking to make another big move with Quartararo. Here are all the rumors from the Jerez paddock, where Marc Marquez didn't speak today.

MotoGP, TGPOne Jerez, Pernat: "Yamaha and Pramac, I believe it!"

The MotoGP is set to tackle its fourth race weekend of 2024, and it'll be doing so at Jerez de la Frontera, one of the calendar's historic tracks that has witnessed a Ducati rider win for the past three years, with Miller in 2021 followed by Bagnaia in the two years that followed. The market is increasingly taking center stage after Yamaha secured Fabio Quartararo for two more years, and KTM decided to assert its option on Acosta until 2026. But it's not just the riders market, because Yamaha is intent on acquiring a second team, and Pramac is at the center of the Iwata-based constructor's desires.

But not everyone agrees even if it's a possibility that seems very plausible to our Carlo Pernat who, along with our correspondents in Jerez, Matteo Aglio and Andrea Scalera, explains the behind-the-scenes of this paddock in turmoil. Today was dedicated to the media, which included press conferences and one-on-one briefings with the riders, except for Marc Marquez who, due to other commitments, had no time to talk to reporters in what could be considered his home GP. Marc is probably the most important pawn in the market, and Paolo Campinoti would like to woo him into join Pramac on a factory Ducati. It's all a big headache, given Yamaha's interest in Pramac.

The action on the track kicks off tomorrow. In the meantime, listen to Pernat's predictions about the future of the MotoGP paddock.
