MotoGP, On the Aprilia, a 'hybrid' tail between that of 2023 and 2024

The "Batman-like" design has not been abandoned, but supplemented with a more conventional top. Riders are trying it out in Jerez testing.

MotoGP: On the Aprilia, a 'hybrid' tail between that of 2023 and 2024

In recent years Aprilia has been pushing hard on aerodynamics, introducing numerous solutions that have set the standard (such as the 'chest' fairing or wings on the fork). The innovation of 2024 was the Batman-style tail, which had first been seen in Sepang testing. Not all the riders, however, had liked it, so Romano Albesiano and his men tried to improve it.

In the Jerez tests they brought a new version, which you can see in this photo. The characteristic lower extractors remain, but the upper part is instead more 'classic'. It is a sort of hybrid between the 2023 and 2024 tailpipes to try to exploit the qualities of both versions.
