The meniscus surgery was successful with no complications: "I have time to recover. In 8 or 10 days I'll be able to do without the crutches"

Marco Melandri underwent successful surgery on his meniscus following an injury suffered on Sunday during a charity football match at the Cattolica stadium.
The operation, conducted by Prof. Catani at the Modena Polyclinic, was carried out without complications and the Ducati rider will begin rehab in the coming days and be back in the saddle by the first 2017 tests, scheduled for 24 and 25 January at Jerez de la Frontera, in Spain.
