SBK, Baz’s leg surgery: “There’s more damage than expected”

“My surgery is over! There’s more damage than expected! Dr. Ray and his team worked a lot, as usual. I’m going home today.” With his social media post, Loris Baz let everyone know that he underwent surgery after the accident with Lowes last Sunday in the Superpole Race.

The surgery – supervised by Dr. Ray at the Hospital de la Tour in Meyrinè in Switzerland – was successful, even if the damage to his leg was more than expected. Now a long path towards recovery awaits Baz, and  there’s just a month left until the upcoming round at Assen.
