Tavullia is gearing up to celebrate its most famous citizen: Valentino Rossi. The "TavulliaVale" event is scheduled for 19 May, during which the Doctor's 25-year career will be celebrated and he will be given the keys to the city.

The program of the event is still secret, but a mural has sprung up in the Marche town that does not go unnoticed. On the facade of a building in via Borgo San Michele, Valentino's face is proudly displayed with a lightning bolt, a clear reference to the cover of David Bowie's album 'Aladdin Sane'. The tribute was created by the Sicilian artist Andrea Buglisi, author of many works, including 'La Porta dei Giganti', a tribute to the judges Falcone and Borsellino near the bunker hall of the Ucciardone prison in Palermo.

The painting for the Doctor will also have an inscription ("To be a rock and not to roll") and should be part of a route dedicated to him that will unfold along the streets of Tavullia.

“Genius and madness, free spirit, instinct, naturalness and great communication, are characteristics closer to a rock star than to a sportsman. He has filled circuits around the world with fans, just like a star fills stadiums at his concerts” reads the artist's Instagram page.
