Auto - News: First podium for Valentino Rossi in the WEC: 2nd place at the 6 Hours of Imola

Valentino Rossi took his first ever podium in the WEC and did it at home, in Imola . The WRT BMW team started from 3rd on the grid and fought for the victory in the 6-hour race, even managing to get into the lead before the last pit stop. In the end, the #46 M4 had to surrender to WRT's sister car driven by Farfus, Gelael and Leung, but the Doctor and his crewmates (Al Harthy and Martin) can be satisfied with the 2nd place finish, managing to get on the podium in the second round of the World Endurance Championship.

The race was not an easy one, with the arrival of the Safety Car and also rain in its second half, but the Belgian squad did not let themselves be caught unprepared and managed to defend their 2nd position in the LMGT3 class all the way to the finish line, finishing just under 23 seconds from the #31 BMW and ahead of the Porsche of the Manthey Purerxcing team.
