MotoGP: UPDATE – No fractures detected for Bagnaia at first check-up

Pecco Bagnaia was transported by ambulance to the hospital in Barcelona for follow-ups after the terrible accident at the second corner in the Barcelona GP. Once he was on the ground, Brad Binder wasn’t able to avoid him and violently crashed into Pecco’s legs with his KTM.

Pecco always remained conscious, but we have no details on his physical condition. Davide Tardozzi, Ducati’s Team Manager, spoke briefly with Sky reporters: “It seems less serious than expected.” Bastianini, who was experiencing finger, was also taken to the hospital.

We’ll provide you with further updates as soon as possible.

UPDATE: Dr. Angel Charte, MotoGP’s Chief Medical Officer, shared an update on Bagnaia's condition through Sky: “Pecco has significant polytrauma in his femur and tibia. In the first x-rays taken at circuit, we did not detect fractures. We saw what looked like an old lesion. CT scans in the hospital are more important. We exclude anything at a cranial and thoracic level. Bagnaia was always been conscious.

About Bastianini: He fractured his left tibial malleolus, which might need surgery, and on one finger. We will have more information after tests performed in the hospital.
