News: Development of Ducati Desmo450 MX continues with two third places at Cingoli

The Ducati Desmo450 MX ridden by Alessandro Lupino finishes twice third in the second round of the Italian Motocross Championship. The prototype, already victorious in its debut last March in Mantua, represents the first step of a project that will see the birth of a complete range of off-road bikes, developed on the most challenging race tracks.

In the second round of the Italian MX1 Championship, held at the Tittoni Circuit in Cingoli, the eight-time Italian Champion, after having set the fourth time in qualifying, was the protagonist of a difficult race in both heats due to a physical problem. In race 1 Alessandro made a great comeback after being delayed at the start. The rider from Viterbo gradually climbed up the field, managing to obtain third position.
In the second heat, Alessandro managed the race in consideration of his pain, managing to overtake some riders ahead of him and confirming again the third place.

The Cingoli race allowed Ducati engineers to collect more valuable data to support the development of the Desmo450 MX, whose race performance is confirming the validity of the prototype's technical base.

The next round of the Italian Motocross Championship is scheduled for May 25 and 26 at the Montevarchi (AR) track. During the month-long break, Alessandro Lupino and Tony Cairoli, who was present in Cingoli to support his brand mate, will continue the testing program of the Desmo450 MX.
