Pedro Acosta's name is already on everyone's lips. The shark seems like anything but a rookie. And, in the first three GPs, he's already been on the podium of the long race twice, confirming himself as the best rider in the KTM family. His results have impressed everyone, even those who experienced this debut very closely.
Those like Dani Pedrosa, test rider for the Austrian constructor who, in his role as commentator for DAZN Spain, wanted to congratulate Acosta. "I'd like to point out that there were a lot of expectations for Pedro. How well he could do, how strong he was coming from the Moto2. But he's exceeding even those expectations," he said.
There was also an amusing banter between the two as they wait to see Pedrosa in action at Jerez as a wild card. "I hope you give me your slipstream," Dani told Pedro. "It should've been the other way around. You're learning, but with the speed you're going at, I'll be the one following you."
Acosta didn't let it go to his head: "I don't think it's going to happen. I still have a lot to learn, especially about what I told you. I'll face Saturday's race to see what will happen on Sunday," he responded.
