MotoGP, Kazakhstan asks Sepang circuit for help in running the Grand Prix

Razali, former CEO of Sepang, went to Sokol for an inspection and wrote on social media, "the track has great potential and could be the fastest in the world championship."

After the cancellation of the Argentine GP, doubts have also arisen about the Kazakhstan GP taking place at the Sokol circuit.

In fact, the 2024 event, scheduled for the new Sokol International Racetrack from June 14-16, has been included in the provisional MotoGP calendar as "subject to contract and homologation."

Of course, the homologation of the racetrack is only one of the issues for holding the Grand Prix.

In addition to obtaining homologation, the organization has to provide specialized personnel including track marshals and race officials.

Obviously to date there is no time to train them and it is obvious what the importance of specialized personnel is in running a Grand Prix.

In the recent past Qatar used outside personnel and this is what they would also like to do in Kazakhstan, which, according to rumors in Jerez turned to the Sepang circuit in Malaysia to find the 400 or so people needed to carry out the event.

The rumor probably originated from the fact that Razan Razali, former CEO of the Sepang circuit and later team owner of Petronas-Yamaha, has been to visit the Kazakhstani track, later writing on social media, "the track has great potential and could be the fastest in the world championship."
