MotoGP: Test Jerez: Toprak 7 tenths from Crutchlow with Yamaha MotoGP

After last year’s test in Aragon, Toprak Razgatlioglu got the chance to test the M1, even in dry conditions, joining the MotoGP testers from Honda, Aprilia, and KTM for a two-day test in Jerez.

A positive first impression for the Turkish rider who, according to what was revealed by Motorsport.com, finished 63 laps on the Andalusian track with an 8th time on Monday, ending 1’7” from the best reference of the day and only 775 thousandths from Cal Crutchlow. Toprak’s performance was only 6 tenths higher than the 1’38”979 with which Franco Morbidelli ended the FP1 at the 2022 GP in Spain, bringing his Yamaha to a 15th position in the rankings, with Joan Mir’s Sukuzi and a 1’38”194.

Monday tests in Jerez

Despite a poor track, at the end of a hot and sunny Monday, KTM test rider Dani Pedrosa completed a total of 70 laps, stopping the clock at a best time of 1’37”8. 129 thousandths of a second behind the fastest lap reached by Stefan Bradl who, like Pedrosa, rode two different bikes, completing a total of 85. A good performance for the Honda tester, who is testing the new RC213V frame by Kalex in Jerez.

A sixth time, instead, for Aprilia rider Lorenzo Savadori who ended his Monday with a total of 55 laps on two prototypes. The same number of bikes also used by Cal Crutchlow, who obtained a 4th time of the day with the Yamaha 1 and a 7th with the Yamaha 2, completing a total of 68 laps.
