Enea Bastianini will undergo surgery today in Modena for the fractures to the malleolus of his left ankle and the finger of his left hand, which he injured yesterday in Barcelona. For the Ducati rider, this is yet another blow this season, during which accidents have been a constant. The scapula fracture in the first Sprint Race at Portimão made him miss 5 Grand Prixs, and these recent injuries won’t allow him to race this weekend at Misano.

Enea is facing another challenge, just when Ducati had officially confirmed him in the factory team, alongside Bagnaia, also in 2024.

On his Instagram profile, Bastianini gave voice to his thoughts: “It isn’t at all easy when you think you’ve hit rock bottom and, instead, it’s not like that. At that point, you get desperate and start thinking you want to go back and change things. But the truth is that you can only go forward. So you know what I say? Screw it. I'm going forward! See you soon,” he concluded.
