MotoGP: Jorge Martin: “The Ducati vibrates, but I’m ready to race”

Jorge Martin is undoubtedly one of the favorites for the Qatari GP. In fact, the Spanish rider demonstrated great confidence in riding the Ducati over the winter and went on the hunt for a confirmation. His goal is undoubtedly to start on the right foot, even if the weather complicated his plans today. At this point, Saturday will become crucial for him, to say the least.

I’d say that this Friday’s outcome was positive,” he said. “I think we managed to improve after the test by being immediately competitive. Unfortunately, I feel vibrations on the bike. We’ll try to intervene and try to solve the problem tomorrow. Today, we worked in terms of electronics, even if we think it’s a small problem. The reason? I think it’s due to all the new components we have, but the Ducati is proving that it’s competitive.”

The Pramac rider seems confident.
I’m confident. I’m ready to race, even if we lost the second round today. Like I already said, I still feel some vibration with worn tires but, in the end, I think it’s normal, in part, even if the sensations are positive. I noticed that this chattering happens in one or two corners the moment the tires are worn. Unfortunately, today I felt it on the rear, especially on the third run.

Then he spoke about Acosta on the wet in the late afternoon.
I think Pedro was great and proved to be super competitive. He impressed me more on the wet than on the dry, since I’ve already seen him at work several times in the latter condition. It’s certainly not easy to race when it’s wet. I’m not a rider who loves water, especially because of how the tires behave, and the visibility.
