Ayumu Sasaki won’t be racing in the GP of the Americas, scheduled for this upcoming weekend in Austin. According to Yamaha VR46 Master Camp, the Japanese rider isn't be allowed to get back on the bike following surgery for compartment syndrome on both arms.

Our Crazy Boy won’t be with us this weekend,” the team wrote in a post. “Ayumu has been declared unfit to participate in the Austin GP after undergoing surgery on his arms for compartment syndrome. We’re waiting for him to recover and can't wait to see him in Jerez!

At the moment, there is no news on whether the team will pair up another rider with Alcoba to replace the Ayumu or if the Spanish rider will be the only one keeping the team's colors high.
