MotoGP, Spain: Rossi to fight back on Lorenzo's turf

The Doctor: " I'll be fast at Barcelona", but the Majorcan doesn't plan to slow down: "Ready to fight for the win"

Spain: Rossi to fight back on Lorenzo's turf

He needs to turn the page and start over, especially after the disappoint of Mugello, where the M1's engine let the Doctor down at the worst possible time. At Barcelona Valentino Rossi wil be fighting on his teammate's turf, hoping to be back on the top step of the podium, just as he was at Jerez.

Catalonia could provide an opportunity: “This is undoubtedly one of my favourite tracks - stated the nine-time champion – I really like the track, and the atmosphere too. I think I can have faith that we have great potential for a good race”. He's still mulling over the DNF of two weeks ago: “I come to Spain knowing I can be fast – he underlined - but also with regret about what would have been a great race in Italy”.

Rossi prefers to stay positive, indicating the path he plans to take: The most important thing is that we were very fast on Sunday, thanks to the work we did over the entire weekend – he concluded - at Barcelona we need to do likewise and be ready for the race”.

Someone who doesn't plan on slowing down in Jorge Lorenzo. After Mugello, the Majorcan is looking for his third consecutive win in front of his home crowd: “It's a home race for me, a special place – said #99 – there's always so many people, a great atmosphere, and it's also one of my favourite tracks.” His recent win in the Italian GP has undoubtedly relaunched the ambitions of the current world champion: “I'm still enjoying my last win at Mugello – he continued –it was something very special, characterised by the right mix of ingredients".

On Spanish soil, Jorge Lorenzo dreams of scoring three in a row: “We need to add points to our championship tally – he concluded – we will demonstrate our potential and I'm ready to fight for the win again!”
