MotoGP: LATEST NEWS - Marquez in hospital in Jerez for further checks

Marc Marquez was transferred to Jerez hospital after the violent crash he was the protagonist of during FP3 of the Spanish Grand Prix. The Spaniard got up without any particular problems after the accident and, after returning to the garage, went to the circuit medical centre riding the scooter himself.

The first checks did not reveal any particular problems, except for bruises in the upper part of the left shoulder and in the cervical area, while the right arm (the one injured a year ago in Jerez) was found to be in perfect condition, as reported by MotoGP medical director Dr. Chartre.

Despite these first checks, it was preferred to carry out a more detailed analysis at the Jerez hospital, where Marquez was taken. A necessary precaution given the not yet perfect conditions of Marc, who in any case is not complaining of any particular pain, as the Honda team reported. Now we will have to wait to see if the Spaniard will be able to get back on track in time for FP4 and qualifying.

Updates will follow as they become available.
