MotoGP: Aldeguer-Pramac: announcement expected in hours. The market is set to be inflamed

The announcement of Bagnaia's renewal with Ducati was the appetizer for a MotoGP market that promises to be red-hot, to say the least. The reason is because in the next few hours a new announcement could come, namely that of Fermin Aldeguer's move from Boscoscoscuro's Moto2 team to Campinoti's Pramac team.

The rumor has been circulating in the paddock for some time, even since the last GP in Qatar in 2024, but now we are one step away from it being made official. This agreement will result in a domino effect on the negotiation front because one rider between Morbidelli and Martin will leave the Italian team at the end of the season.

All signs obviously point to the Spaniard, who is ready to take that long-dreamed of step into the factory team. The world champion runner-up's priority is certainly to flank Pecco, but it cannot be ruled out that other factories will do everything to secure the talented Spaniard should things not go through.

This is the case of Yamaha, which has to come to terms with an increasingly distraught and disappointed Quartararo, as well as Aprilia, which in the coming season will most likely change a few pawns in its chessboard. And what about Honda, since Joan Mir is on deadline?

It is certainly shaping up to be an interesting market, and besides, there will be the question of how many teams will remain loyal to Ducati or not. Dall'Igna has already factored in that it will be difficult to see as many as eight Rosse in action next year, consequently this downsizing will open up new scenarios with Yamaha possibly getting its satellite structure back.

This is without mentioning the fact that in 2025 Ducati may decide to give only one official bike to each of the two satellite teams. We talked about this in our LIVE with Carlo Pernat.

Also appearing at the center of the negotiations is Morbidelli, whose contract expires at the end of the season. As we know, the beginning of Franco's adventure with Pramac was particularly complicated, due to the bad injury suffered with the V4 at Portimo. In fact, the Roman from Tavullia had to skip the Sepang and Qatar tests, returning to the GP24 only last week.

Obviously for Morbidelli it is not time to pass sentence, because it would be inappropriate. In fact, Borsoi has assured that Franco will have to take all the time he needs to recover and get to know the bike in detail, convinced that soon he too will get to fight with the best. It is what everyone expects given how much he has suffered in the past seasons with Yamaha between disappointing performances and operations.

Continuing for 2025 would be the most logical assumption, difficult in fact to think of an entirely new lineup for Pramac.
